 straight line graphs :

   a straight-line graph conatain;
  • an x term,
  • a y term,
  •  and a number

  •

    y = mx + c

    The equation of a straight line on a graph is made up of a y term, an x term,  a number wich  are written in the form of y = mx + c.

    • The slope of the line is known as the gradient and is represented by m in the equation.
    • The point at which the line crosses the y-axis in the  in the equation

Resultado de imagen de straight lines graphs   in this picture we can see different lines ,this mean they also have a defferent gradien and a different y -intercept . however there are causes witch lines have the same gradien or y-intercertp .aldo some lines a parralel to each other

eg :  or example, when x is 1:
y = 2×1 + 1 = 3
Check for yourself that x=1 and y=3 is actually on the line.
Or we could choose another value for x, such as 7:
y = 2×7 + 1 = 15
And so when x=7 you will have y=15

it can be also find by : rise/ run
